Autumn's Dentist Trip

So, the other week, Autumn had her first trip to the dentist.

Yes, I know. She's 5 and never been to the dentist. But it's because I hate going to the doctor or dentist unless I have to. I don't like going for regular check ups or anything. I don't hate the dentist, just hate taking time out of my busy schedule.

Well, she's been complaining about her tooth and I could actually see a cavity in one of her molars, so I finally broke down and made her an appointment.

This place was great! The waiting room had old school games in it! I She got to play some fun games while waiting.

Then they took her back and the lady that we got was just so good! She made Autumn love being there!

The seat was going back and Autumn was loving the "ride."

Brooklynn was all into it too - which is great because I don't want her to hate it before she even gets her shot at the dentist!

Autumn loved the little sucky-thingy.

At this point, my battery died...unfortunately. But they ended up taking xrays because they could see the cavities. Well, one is so bad, we have to get it pulled.

Yep.

Awesome.

BUT, it's not because we don't care of her teeth. In fact, the dentist said that her teeth looked really well taken care of. But sometimes, people are just born with bad teeth... and Autumn is one of those lucky ones. Like her mama. Awesome. I'm sorry pumpkin. Guess we'll need to visit the dentist more often for her.

But as of right now, she still loves the dentist!  Success.

6 Months Old Caroline!

Well, hello sweet Caroline!

This girl just keep growing like a weed! I don't know how to make her stop either.

Let's see... 6 months old.

Ok, so she has tried her first taste of food!  It was avocado. She enjoyed it hehe. She's not really used to the whole food on tongue ordeal, but she'll get there.

(don't mind the messy kitchen with the unfinished backsplash - the pool and fence have take over as priority!)

She is gnawing on EVERYthing. She seems to be teething, but I haven't seen any signs of teeth coming in.

She is still such a happy baby...except when you leave the room or when she's hungry. Understandable though. I get cranky when I'm hungry - ha!

She loves her jumperoo.

This thing has lived a good life. It was Autumn's, then Brooklynn's, then my friend borrowed it for her son, and now it's Caroline's. She just jumps and jumps and jumps. She loves it.

What she doesn't like? Hanging out on her tummy. She will roll over within a minute or so, which is not going to lend itself to her crawling very well..lol.

She falls asleep every time we take a walk. lol. Something about being in the stroller I guess.

She talks and laughs and raspberries all the time.  And those eyebrows..they are so expressionate! (is that not a word?? Spell check says no)  When she's tired, her eyebrows turn red. That's how I know it's way passed her bedtime.

STILL spitting up. Not as bad, but when she does, it's award-winning, champion style.  Sometimes I wonder how she even gains weight!

So that's my girl. A half a year old already.  Man.

Turtle Family!

I finally found it!  I have been wondering what kind of family decal I was going to get... I couldn't remember where I had gotten my last ones - they were fun flip flops that I found online somewhere. But I only had 3 - me, Ron, and Autumn. I never got one for Brooklynn because I couldn't remember where I had gotten them.

Then I traded that car in and we had another baby.

So this was the perfect time to get the full set.

And I found the perfect one!

Isn't that just so perfect?! I love it!!

I actually got it on Amazon!  If you don't need 3 babies, they have others too.

Here's two babies and one baby.

There are many kinds - goes up to five babies (bless your heart!) and then no babies...and so many color choices! I, of course, went with the teal...because that's my favorite!

Pool Project Update

So it's been a while since I posted a pool update. The last one was Ron's birthday weekend

Well, since then, there hasn't been TOO much going on with the pool, but the backyard has really started to transform!

Ron has started putting up the fence. We aren't screening in the pool, so we have to have a fence up. We're saving TONS of money having Ron put it up himself.

That hill they running on in this picture (yes, I realize that really isn't a hill - but that's what we Floridians consider a hill! ha!).... that's our slip-n-slide, roll down, and kick our balls down the hill....hill. I am going to miss this hill once we put our fence up.

I wish I could help... but I'm always on baby duty... so Caroline and I just hang out and give our support. haha!

It looks super nice though! Ron takes a while to get things finished, but it's because he's so meticulous with every thing - a blessing and a curse.

He took some time out to give the girls a ride in the wagon! He uses this to bring all the concrete bags and tools he needs back and forth from the garage to the spot where he's working.

The girls were just laughing and laughing during this ride. I wish you could hear them!

Another day, he took down another tree. We have a few more pine trees that need to come down. They are MESSY little boogers, but they are also blocking my sunshine on the pool. I need the sun on my pool, please and thank you!

But the tree he brought down became a nice playset for the girls - ha!

Ron has gotten about half the fence finished. This is the back of the yard.
Yes... the mess is DRIVING me crazy, but I keep telling myself, sometimes things have to get worse before they get better, right?!  It's all for the greater good - a pool is on the line here!

The girls are loving all of the "mess" though...there's always something to play with!

WEEKS have gone by and I STILL had a dirt backyard. I was getting O.V.E.R. it. For real.  And magically, when I called to get and ETA of the concrete for the patio, the very next week, here come the workers!

And look!! Concrete!!  I was really hoping that the pool would be finished by my last day of school, June 1st. But I don't see it being done in 2 weeks.

Oh well. At least we'll have it for this summer!

Disney Graduation Celebration!

So Autumn had a pretty big celebration the other day. Yep. She "graduated" from VPK.

And where you take a little-big girl to celebrate?

Disney, of course!

During the summer months, it is a given that we always get an ice cream.  I'm a fan of the Mickey Bar, so that's what I always get, but we let Autumn get whatever she wanted - and she's a simple girl... a kid cone, vanilla.  It came with some Mickey ears, of course - because Disney makes everything fun!

We had lunch somewhere new this time. It was so yum!

Then it was off to the Carousel - because we can't pass the carousel without getting to ride it!  And for the FIRST time, I noticed the Sword in the Stone! Seriously. I've never seen it!

So I made Ron stop and take a picture  with it. If you know my husband at all, you know that he does NOT like taking pictures... but see?? Disney brings out the kid in every one!

Just look at those smiles. They just love Disney.

Good golly, she looks so big here!

It was a cloudy day and the rain kept coming and going, but it wasn't enough to stop us on our day.

We still did our rides... this was our first time riding the Speedway Ride. It's amazing how much we haven't done as much as we've been there.

Then Brooklynn and I went. She got to drive...if that's what you call it. haha

Autumn has an autograph book that we've been filling up with signatures. She's still missing a few, but we'll get them eventually. But Brooklynn just got her autograph book. So now we have to go through all the characters again. It's ok. They don't mind. And you can fastpass some of the characters, so that makes it better.

Brooklynn was asleep when we all got our ice cream, so she got to end the day wither her ice cream.

I'm super impressed with how she shared with Autumn. I don't really share my Mickey Bar very well.
