Halloween

Halloween day. We did a lot on Halloween, actually.

We went swimming .... yep. The last day of October, it was warm enough to go swimming.  I'm thankful for that, mostly so we can still use our pool. But other than that, I wouldn't mind it getting cooler. But I like that we can still go in the pool or to the beach!

This little cutie got DOUSED in baby powder from Brooklynn, so she had to get a bath in the morning.

I actually go my workout in! I was home alone the morning because Ron had to do some things at the station, but I was still able to keep the kids busy enough to get in my workout!

Then we took the dog for a walk. Which started out great....

But then turned into a Brooklynn meltdown because she didn't get to push the stroller MORE than Autumn.

She was SCREAMING as loud as a banshee down the sidewalk.

Lol. This picture just makes me laugh.

For lunch, they had jack-o-lantern sandwiches.

Then it was time to get ready to go to our friend's house for trick-or-treating. 

So you remember that I got them ALL Batman costumes, right??

Well, we had some costume changes...

First, it was WAY too hot for C's long sleeves, so we made hers into a tank top.

And then Hailey has a nice array of dress up clothes, and Autumn decided she was going to be Elsa for Halloween....NOT the Batman that I bought her. Oy.

But she does make a beautiful Elsa, I must say!

Then Brooklynn got in on the action!

April was some kind of fairy or queen or princess??? Or 90s prom girl. haha

The boys were Batman. So funny that they BOTH were Batman...so original.

Brooklynn did decide to go back to her Batman costume though. Whew!

These pictures crack me up. Ron gets so annoyed at me that I want to take pictures...especially when the first ones aren't good enough...

"REALLY?!!?? C'mon!" hahaha

This house had like a DJ system going on.

The girls banked on the candy, which makes my healthy-mama side twitch. But I give them the week after Halloween, and then we get rid of the candy. 

I really try to stay out of their candy because of this...

Next year, I might try doing this...

Life Lately

It is amazing how quickly a week can go by. Seriously. 

And LOOK at this girl. Sometimes I look at her and wonder "WHY do you look so big all of a sudden!?"  It was "decades" day at her school last Thursday. She dressed as an 80s girl. Autumn dressed her. lol. Yes, I rely on my 6 year old for being the sylist.

That smile. I just can't handle it.

Friday, after school, April and I took the "big girls" with us to get pedis.

We got wine!! What!? I didn't know they served wine!

April got a mani too...she was such a diva. haha!

Saturday, I dropped the older girls off at my parents' house.

Gosh, I love her.

I kind of like it when the older girls are at my parents' house and I get some one-on-one time with baby girl. I feel like our life moves so fast with the 3rd and with the 1st, you really get to relish in each phase. So I really love the one-on-one time with her.

I'm not sure why she thinks she should be allowed to be full on walking before she's even 1! I watch her walk away from me and I just want to start tearing up...she's so tiny, but she's walking!

Sunday, we went to watch 2 of my students play the "super bowl" against each other. One was on one team and one was on the other team. It just so happened that one of my BF's son was on one of the teams too. It was my first experience at a West Melbourne Football game. Oh. My Lanta! I felt like I was in Texas!!

Sunday night, I gave in to the cute little baby... she was begging for more pumpkin bread. How could I say no?!!? I made it to bring to work. But Caroline ended up eating it all. haha. Woops.

Sunday night was MNO night. We all got the "friendship" Alex and Ani bracelets. I love them. They are perfect.

Tuesday was Pumpkin patch day. Before we went to the patch, we stopped off to see Ron at the station. He was practicing some drills for a test coming up on the big ladder truck. The girls are always in awe.

Then it was off to the {Pumpkin Patch} with our friends!) 

And now, my friends, it is Friday. I endured {Halloween week} at school and I have a whole weekend of fun coming up. I'm gearing up with some Rose!

Pumpkin Patch Tradition

So, here in Florida, we don't really have pumpkin patches. Like, pumpkins-still-on-the-vine patches. BUT, we make do with what we have.

And now we have a tradition. To go to this same patch with our friends each year and get our pictures.

2011... My sweet Autumn. An only child. So cute. And so little.

2010.  Omgosh. I melt.

And October 2009. Autumn's first Pumpkin Patch. She was just over a month old. And I had DARK brown hair.  It was my "fall" hair.

Flash forward to this week.

I just love these kids. They all love each other!

And all of us moms are the best of friends. (Matty - we need to photoshop you in!)

This girl just melts my heart. Her smile just brings such happiness to my day!

All of these girls. I mean, really. We are in for some serious trouble later in life...like tomorrow - ha!

Another year of tradition. We might all have crazy schedules, but we make time for each other!
