Family Weekend - Saturday!

Our weekend of family fun continues!

(See our Thanksgiving Dinner we did on Friday HERE)

 Saturday

Saturday was an impromptu beach morning. 8:30 in the morning. Surf was "good" for some fun in the sun and the kids had fun, too!

My mom is out there on the boogie board. Get it, momma!

Such a beautiful sight! I mean, really. Nothing better than a beautiful day at the beach!

That's the family out there... Woody, Noelle, Hans and Jason.

Kids playing in the water and Caroline wishing she could join.

One day she will get her time on the board.

Jason catching a wave. I am just amazed, even after all this time, at the beauty of the beach.

This is me!!! My husband has ALWAYS said he doesn't believe that I can surf. He just doesn't go to the beach with me to see me surf....or rather watch the kids so that I can go surfing  - ha!

The girls (Autumn and Faith) went tandem surfing with Hans and Jason. They had so much fun!

Sweet Baby Jack taking his nap.

Yay for Grandma!

Autumn and Faith going surfing on their own!

Then Jason and Noelle went tandem! ha! It was pretty funny to watch.

While we were leaving we spotted some dolphins swimming out there! I mean, c'mon. It doesn't get much better than that!

Then it was back to Grandma's for lunch. Caroline playing with Hossie. I just love watching him with the kids.

The kids taking over the room - oh boy!

Then it was back to our house for fun in the pool and dinner.

Brooklynn and her CANNON-BALL!!!

Autumn and Faith. She is so enamored with her. Talks about her all the time and can't wait to see her again! They are pretty much inseparable when they're together.

Noelle and Nana - love this picture.

Joshua "surfing"

Another one of my favorite pictures.  Nana and Hoss smiling while watching their GREAT-Grandchildren.

Woody (who's name is actually Jack) and baby Jack. (Hoss' name is Jack too... isn't that an awesome tribute to both Woody and Hoss??)

Under water!

I tried to get Azariah in the picture too, but they kept moving too much - ha!

Jason and his floatie. I tell ya. He really needed it. haha

Woody getting my mom in. I just love watching them be "young!"

Then it was time for dinner.

So a little background about this grill.... our inlay had completely corroded. So Ron got a new one.. well, pretty much the WHOLE first hour we were all in the pool playing, Ron was putting the grill back together. haha. Woops!

Then, Jason didn't trust that it was put back together the right way, so he got Ron's firefighter gear to wear while he was lighting the grill. haha! Whatever works for you, I guess.

Family Weekend - Friday!

So this weekend was a fun, family-filled weekend. The Hawaiians were in town. Which is so great. We love them. The girls love their cousins. And I love watching the girls have so much fun with their cousins. I wish we all lived closer so we could raise the kids together.

So, while they are here longer than 3 days, we get to see them for 3 days because they are going all over the place visiting family. That's ok - we'll take the 3 days.

Friday

Friday was "Thanksgiving" at my parents' house.  I left from work and headed straight there. This was the day AFTER Open House, so I got home at 8:00 on Thursday night and made the stuffing for dinner on Friday. Friday morning I drove to my parents' house BEFORE work to drop off Brooklynn and the food for the dinner. Then after work, picked up Autumn and Caroline and headed over for some fun with the fam! Ron, of course, was working this day.

This is probably one of my favorite pictures of the kids. Playing on the dock...which is almost flooded because of the nonstop rain we've been having and just being kids.

Next time, we'll have even more kids added to the line with Erich and Karissa's kids AND Jack and Caroline.

So, this was everyone pitching in to make Thanksgiving dinner.  In September. Yep. It was. And it was awesome!

Dessert time!

Hossie playing with Jack. I'm bummed it was a blurry picture, it was so cute to watch.

Me and my baby girl!

Tomorrow is another day!

Autumn Turns 6!

Well, my first baby girl is 6 now.

I know everyone says it, but wow! Time. Where does it go??

If you know me, you know I'm all about the cakes.

Her cake this year was a pool!

In the shape of a 6. With her Lego Friends..and Ninja Turtle Lego haha!

I just made the cake and after I put the fondant on it, I carved and scooped out the cake. I poured the jello on after I made it and it hardened in the bowl.

We had just a little pool party....complete with the slide for added entertainment. If you saw {my birthday party}, you know we had to bring it back.

The kids loved it and spent many hours on it!

Then it was cake time...

I bought some extra cupcakes just in case... good thing too!

Her actual birthday, we had school. That's okay though. She didn't mind.  I made her blue jello cups with whipped cream and fishies in it for her class, instead of cupcakes.

After gymnastics, we headed to the Ice Cream Depot for some birthday ice cream.

Brooklynn was amazed that she got a drink that big. ha!

The lady felt so sorry for Caroline that she couldn't have ice cream, she gave her a cone to munch on.

Brooklynn and me shared some dark chocolate ice cream. yum!

That weekend,  we headed down to my grandparents. It's my grandpa's 82nd birthday!! My girls love my grandparents...and my parents.

They really are lucky to have all this family in their life.

One of my newest favorite pictures! Happy birthday to my grandpa and my baby girl!

It is crazy how much they grow every year. No wonder they are ALWAYS hungry! ha!
